With so many draft beer dispensing systems to choose from, it can be hard to decide which system is right for you, and who to trust to do that install. We put together a list of seven things we think are important to consider before purchasing your next draft beer system.
- When using beer equipment, always use stainless steel pieces (ex: couplers, fittings, etc.) as it is your best choice for sanitation, strength, durability and taste.
- Stainless steel is a low carbon steel that contains 10% chromium, which is what gives it the ability to resist corrosion.
- Low maintenance
- It is 100% recyclable, making it an environmentally friendly option
- Stainless steel is extremely resistant to high and low temperatures, which prevents the growth of bacteria – especially in moisture-prone environments such as restaurants
- More cost-effective due to its long-life cycle
- Make sure that the beer provider has an extended warranty on the equipment. Download our Warranty.
- Don’t choose a beer system based off of price – remember this is an investment that is a revenue generating stream for your business.
- Long draw system beer bundles should be protected by beverage conduit. Easybar adds conduit to our scope of work which means we can use our contacts and knowledge of your beverage system to design and provide a chase system that best suits your needs.
- Make sure that the draft beer lines are cleaned every two weeks. We suggest setting up a cleaning for every two weeks on your beer system to maintain quality, integrity and freshness of product.
- When looking for a beer system ask for previous projects from beer installers and ask for references. Follow us on Instagram to see a variety of our completed draft dispensing systems.
- After receiving beer from distributor, know what the kegs are carbed at so that you can have a perfect pouring system. Most beers are carbed at 2.5-2.6. This is important to know so that you can know how to balance your system whether you are using CO2 or mixed gas.
